Indian Coast Guard, Ministry Of
Defence invites application from eligible unmarried candidates
for recruitment of Navik (General Duty) in the Indian Coast Guard, an
Armed Force of the Union, as per the details given below.
Selected candidates will be on
training that will commence in August, 2015 at INS Chilka followed by
sea training and professional training in the allotted trade.
Name of the Posts: Navik (General Duty)
Age Limit:- Not less than
18 years and not more than 22 years of age i.e. candidates should be born
between 01 Aug 1993 and 31 Jul 1997. Upper age relaxation of 5 years will
be offered to SC/ ST while 3 years to OBC candidates.
Educational
Qualification:- Candidate should possess minimum qualification of 10+2 with 60% of
total marks and minimum 60% marks in Maths and Physics. from an education
board recognised by Central/State Government.
Pay Scale:- Recruited
candidates shall get a pay scale of Rs. 5200 – Rs. 20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.
2000. One will also receive additional benefits related to various
allowances and leaves. Promotion prospects also exist up to the rank of
Pradhan Adhikari where pay shall raise to Rs. 930034800 + Grade pay Rs. 4800
Mode of Selection: All the
shortlisted candidates will have to undergo written test. Those who qualify
written tests will undergo Physical Fitness Test and Initial Medical
Examination (Preliminary). After that all recruited candidates will be put
to training at INS Chilka from August, 2015 onwards.

are suggested to take print out of online application with a unique
Application/Registration number.
Candidates are suggested to bring
three copies of Application form having allotted Roll number with three
latest identical colour passport size photographs pasted and signed at the
bottom of application form against space provided for the signature. One
copy should be enclosed with copies of all required documents attested by
a gazetted officer. It should be submitted at recruitment centre. Other copy
should be kept as identity proof of candidate during selection.
