Indian Coast Guard are invited Applications from unmarried male Indian nationals for recruitment to the post of Navik {Domestic Branch (Cook & Steward)} in the Indian Coast Guard, an Armed Force of the Union, as per the details given below.

Name of Post:- Navik {Domestic Branch (Cook & Steward)

Educational Qualification:- Matriculate with 50% marks in aggregate from an education board recognised by Central/State Government.

Age Limit:- Minimum 18 Years and maximum 22 years i.e between 01 Apr 1993 to 31 Mar 1997. (Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates).

Medical Standards:- Minimum height 157 cms. Reduction in height for candidates from hilly areas and tribal areas will be in accordance with the Central Govt. orders.

Chest:- Should be well proportioned. Minimum expansion 5 cms.

Weight:- Proportionate to height and age +_10% acceptable. Hearing: normal.

Medical examination will be conducted by authorised military doctors as per medical standard prescribed in current regulations applicable to Enrolled Personnel on entry. Good mental, medical and physical health, free from any disease/disability, likely to interfere with efficient performance of duties. No Cardio-vascular disease, surgical deformities like knock knee, flat feet etc. infection of ears, no history of fits or psychiatric aiplment, varicose vein, corrective surgery for eye sight etc.

Visual Standard - 6/36 (Better Eye) and 6/36 (Worse Eye)

How to Apply:- Interested & Eligible Candidates may Apply. Prescribed  application form available on  below link. and  the  filled  application  be  sent  by  Ordinary Post only.

The application is to be submitted on plain paper in the form appended below (type written/hand written in English/Hindi) and is to be sent to the address of the respective Zonal recruitment centre.

The type of entry, choice of centre and percentage of marks of 10th class board examination is to be clearly written on the top of the envelope.

Attested copies (not returnable) of 10th class marks sheet and certificates as proof of age, educational qualifications including statement of marks, caste certificate ( SC, ST, OBC as per Govt. of India format), Sports certificate, one passport size colour photo and a self-addressed (unstamped) envelop of size 22x10 cms are to be attached with the application. All enclosures must be pinned/ tagged with the application.

The Coast Guard reserves the right to cancel any centre or change the centre of candidates for administrative reasons.

For downloading the syllabi, one has to click the last but one item, Cooperative Service Commission Advertisements & Syllabus‟ in the home page of the website, www.coopwb.org or to click on the menu, Examination‟ at the top bar of the home page of the website, www.webcsc.org.

The Admit Card-cum-Attendance Sheets (hereinafter referred to as Admit Cards) for the applicants, whose candidature has been accepted prima facie by the Commission, have been uploaded in the Websites, www.webcsc.org&www.coopwb.orgthrough a LINK. An applicant will have to click the message, ‘Download / print admit card or find rejection ground’ when a Dialogue Box will open. He / she will have to put his / her name or part thereof or father's name or part thereof or his / her date of birth (dd-mm-yyyy) in the appropriate box and search his / her enrolment or otherwise in the Chart that follows. [vide Illustration annexed hereto]. 

After opening the page containing the Chart, the applicant will have to pass through the following stages in order to download / print Admit Card, if he / she hasbeen admitted or to find out the Rejection Ground, if his / her application is rejected :-

Tally his / her name, father's name etc. in the Chart;

Find out Roll No. or Rejection Code in the Status column, as the case may be;

If he / she finds any Roll No. incorporated in the row showing his / her name, father’s name and other particulars, he / she will have to click on the Checkbox at the extreme left column, click on "Download / Print Admit Card" option at the bottom of the Chart and download / print the Admit Card; and

If the applicant finds no Roll No. against his / her particulars, he / she will find Rejection Ground Code shown in the same row.

Before printing the Admit Card, the candidate must ensure that his / her address and photograph are correctly fetched in the Admit Card from his / her own Application.

If the applicant is claiming any experience, then he/she has to personally upload his/her experience certificate in a single pdf file in such a way that the size file does not exceed 2 MB and is legible when a printout taken. For that the applicant may scan the experience certificate in 200 dpi grey scale.
Candidates who wish to apply for more than one post should apply separately for each post and pay the fee for each post in the prescribed manner.
After submitting the Online Recruitment Application (ORA), the candidates are required to take out a print out of the finally submitted Online Recruitment Application.
Candidates are not required to submit to the Commission either by post or by hand the printouts of their online applications or any other document. They will be required to bring along with them the printouts of their online applications and the documents mentioned in para 7 below if called for interview.
The applicants are advised to submit only single Online Recruitment Application for each post; however, if somehow, if he/she submits multiple Online Recruitment Applications for one post, then he/she must ensure that Online Recruitment Application with the higher "Application Number" is complete in all respects including fee. The applicants, who submit multiple Online Recruitment Applications, should note that only the Online Recruitment Application with higher "Application Number" shall be entertained by the Commission and fee paid against one "Application Number" shall not be adjusted against any other "Application Number".

(to the credit of CD A/c No.29312051276 with Kolkata Main Branch) OR through National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT), preferably in the prescribed Form (to be downloaded from www.webcsc.org or www.coopwb.org) in favour of WEST BENGAL CO-OPERATIVE SERVICE COMMISSION from any NEFT-enabled Branch of the said State Co-operative Bank, Central Co-operative Banks or any other Bank of the country (to the credit of CD A/c No.29312051276 at Kolkata Main Branch of The West Bengal State Co-operative Bank Ltd., having IFS Code WBSC0000001).

Payment by any mode other than WBSCB Bank Challan or NEFT will lead to rejection of the Application. SC / ST candidates are exempted from paying any fees, subject to submission of self-attested copies of SC/ST Certificates.

Prescribed  application form available on  below link. OR in the ON-LINE mode. Applications must be made EITHER in the format prescribed by the Commission, which should be downloaded from the website, www.webcsc.org or www.coopwb.org and duly printed in A-4 size paper of good quality (newsprint not allowed) OR in the ON-LINE mode, with off-line way for depositing prescribed application fee of Rs.160.00 (for UR/OBC/OBC-A/ OBC-B candidates) as provided in the website, www.webcsc.org or www.coopwb.org. Applications in any other format are liable for rejection.

An applicant must not submit application for MORE THAN ONE POST CODE against this Advertisement. An applicant’s candidature will be rejected if he / she submits two or more applications against more than one Post Code.

Any application submitted in the downloaded format must accompany: (a) Self-attested photocopies of documents as proof of age, caste, academic / computer / professional qualifications and job experience.

Any application submitted on-line must accompany scanned copies of recent pas-port size photograph (not above 20 kb size), scanned signature anddocuments as proof of Application Fee payment in SCB / NEFT challan, age, caste, academic / professional / computer qualifications and job experience [Total size not to exceed 4 mb]. (c) All the fields in the Application Form must be filled up disclosing all academic / computer / professional qualifications and job experience; “NA” should be written against each non-applicable field.

Application in hard copy, not attaching thereto the Commission’s Copy of Bank Challan / NEFT Challan (containing UTR & other details in case of UR candidates) as proof of payment of Application Fee of Rs.160.00 only [not applicable in case of SC/ST candidates] and the self-attested photocopies as mentioned in rule 3 above or not duly signed by the Candidate, with self-signed photo pasted at the right place, or providing false or wrong information shall be rejected summarily. Application initially accepted is also liable to be rejected, if any defect or false / wrong information is detected at any later stage.

SUBMIT the Application Form to the Commission’s Office Address by Post / Speed Post / Registered Post / Courier Service. ensuring that it reaches the address latest by 5-00 p.m. on 17/07/2014 (Thursday) or DROP IT in the earmarked Drop Box of the Commission placed at the Ground Floor of PWD Buildings, Block-A at Khadya Bhawan Complex, 11A, Mirza Ghalib Street, Kolkata – 700 087, latest by 5-00 p.m. on 17/07/2014 (Thursday).  The on-line submission facility will also close at 5-00 p.m. on 17/07/2014 (Thursday).
