Qualification both:- The applicants must have completed Matriculation along with an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Certificate in the respective trades from an Institute of repute to be eligible for applying for this position.
The candidates applying for Head Constable Positions must have at least 3 years of post-qualification experience in the concerned trades.
The candidates applying for Constable Positions must have at least 2 years of post-qualification experience in the concerned trades.
Age for both as on 01-01-2014:- Between 21 years to 35 years (Relaxation = SC/ST - 5 years; OBC- 3 years; PH- 10 years;)
Physical Standard (for all):-
Height – 165 cm (male) and 157 Cm for Female (will be relaxed for certain candidates as per the exact notification of BSF inspectors)
Weight – proportionate to height
Chest – Unexpanded 76 cm and expanded 81 cm (not applicable for women)
Vision: 6/6 and 6/9 both eyes without correction (without wearing glasses)
Examination Fee (Non-Refundable) :- Rupees fifty only (Rs. 50/-) payable through Demand Draft/IPO in the name of the addressee where the application form is being submitted by the candidate. Fee is exempted for all Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, BSF Candidates, Ex- Servicemen.
