Name of Post:- Professor of Physics
No. of Vacancies:- 1 (One) Post (Reserved for SC).
Scale of Pay:- Rs. 37,400- 67,000/- +Academic Grade Pay~ 10,000/- and other allowances as admissible.
Qualification:- a. An eminent scholar with consistently good academic record and a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/ allied/ relevant discipline with a number of high quality research publications in reputed journals and/or publication of books.
b. At least 10 years' experience in University/College and/or experience in research in University/ reputed research institutions/industries.
c. Research guidance of doctoral students.
Name of Post:- Associate Professor in (a) Applied Mathematics with Oceanology and Computer Programming
No. of Vacancies:- 1 (One)Post (Unreserved- Exempted Category),
Scale of Pay:- Rs. 37,400- 67,000/- +Academic Grade Pay~ 9,000/- and other allowances as admissible.
Qualification:- a. Good academic record with a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines.
b. A Master's degree in concerned/allied/relevant disciplines with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).
c. At least a second class "Three Years" Bachelor's Degree with Honours/Major in the relevant/allied subject.
d. A minimum of 8 (eight) years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or reputed research institution/industry with a number of good quality publications in reputed journals and/or publication of books.

Scale of Pay:- Rs. 15,600-39,100/- +Academic Grade Pay~ 6,000/- and other allowances as admissible.
Name of Post:- Assistant Professor (Purely on Contract Basis) in Sociology
No. of Vacancies:- 1(0ne) Post
Scale of Pay:- Rs. 21,600/- plus other allowances as admissible (per month)
Qualification:- a. Cood academic record as defined by the concerned University with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Masters Degree level in a relevant subject.
b. At least a second class 'Three Years' Bachelor's Degree with Honours/Major in the relevant/allied subject.c. l11e candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC/CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like NET/SET.
d. However, the candidates who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 shall be exempted
from the requirement of the Minimum Eligibility Condition of NET/SLET/SET.
e. NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Masters programme in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.
f. A relaxation of 5% in the marks may be provided for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/ Differently abled (physically as well as visually) categories
(i) at the Masters level required to satisfy the minimum eligibility criteria.
(ii) for assessing good academic record throughout the candidate's career.
The marks in each case mean the qualifying marks without any grace marks and/or rounding off procedures.
g. A relaxation of 5% may be provided for the minimum eligibility marks of 55% at the Master level to the Ph.D. degree holders who have obtained their Masters degree prior to September 19, 1991

Scale of Pay:- Rs. 9,000- 28,300/- +Grade Pay~ 4,600/- and other allowances as admissible.
Qualification and Experience:- Bachelor's degree in any discipline with 8(eight) years relevant experience as Senior Assistant or its equivalent level. Knowledge of Computer Application and exposure to Office procedure like maintenance of Files, Noting and Drafting etc. are essential. Preference will be given to the candidates having experience in University or Higher learning Institutions. Age relaxation is also applicable those who are working in Vidyasagar University system.

Name of Post:- Junior Assistant
No. of Vacancies:- 2 (Two) Posts ( One for OBC-B Exempted Category and One Reserved forST):
Scale of Pay:- Rs. 7,200- 25,400/- +Grade Pay ~ 3,300/- and other allowances as admissible.
Qualification and Experience:- Higher Secondary (10+2) I Pre-University or its equivalent and Diploma in computer application of MS Word, MS excel, MS Power Point etc.
Desirable: Exposure to office procedure like maintenance of files, Noting, Drafting etc.
Age Limit:- 18-40 years as on 30.06.2014
Name of Post:- Helper Gr. III
