Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd, (A Government of India Enterprise) Holding of Special Recruitment Drive (SRD) for filling up backlog vacancies of Junior Telecom Officer (Electrical) for Persons With Disabilities (PWD)
In accordance with BSNL New Delhi letter no. 1-1/2013-Rectt dated 24th June, 2014, applications are invited from eligible Indian citizens of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) of Locomotive (one arm or one leg or both legs affected) or Hearing (partially deaf) Impairment (LI or HI) only with minimum degree of disability as 40% to fill up 01 (One) post of Junior Telecom Officer (Electrical) through an open competitive examination (OMR based) to be held on 23/11/2014 (Sunday).
1. Scale of Pay: - Rs. 16400-40500 (IDA) with annual increment @ 3% of basic pay plus IDA. HRA, perks, medical, LTC etc. as admissible as per BSNL Company rules. 2. This notification (for competitive examination of JTO SRD) is applicable for UP (East) Telecom Circle only. The post of Junior Telecom Officer (JTO) is Circle based cadre. Hence candidate would be selected against the vacancy of UP (East) Telecom Circle and required to serve for a minimum period of five years in UP (East) Telecom Circle only or until they are promoted to All India cadre. 3. Eligibility (i) Nationality — Only Indian National would be eligible to appear in examination. (ii) Educational Qualification — Applicants must possess on 31/12/2013, Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Technology or equivalent in Electrical Engineering from a recognized Institution. (iii) Age —LI or HI candidates of; OC category — 40 years (i.e. 30 years plus relaxation period of 10 years) SC/ST category — 45 years (i.e. 30 years plus relaxation period of 15 years) OBC category — 43 years (i.e. 30 years plus relaxation period of 13 years) (Note: The crucial date for determining the age shall be the closing date for receipt of application forms i.e. 05/09/2014.) (iv) For BSNL/Govt. servant employees the upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by BSNL/central Govt. 4. The mode of selection is through an Open Competitive Examination under JTO (SRD) for physically handicapped candidates only in UP (East) Telecom Circle. The examination will be of three hours duration with one question paper containing following three sections — Section-I Electrical Engineering 50 Questions (2 Marks each) Section-II Electrical Engineering 50 Questions (2 Marks each) Section-III General Awareness 20 Questions (2 Marks each)
Note: - The standard of the paper in engineering subject will be that of Engineering Degree examination of an Indian University. Syllabus of the examination is mentioned in Annexure.
5. BSNL may fix at its discretion minimum qualifying marks for each section as well as the aggregate. Candidates obtaining less than minimum qualifying marks in any of the sections or in aggregate shall not be considered for inclusion in the merit list. 6. The examination centre in UP (East) Telecom Circle will be at LUCKNOW.
