WRITTEN EXAMINATION:- Full Marks -90
Those who qualify in PMT and PET will be asked to appear in Written Examination. The Written Examination will be conducted by the West Bengal Police Recruitment Board. The Written Examination will have objective type questions (MCQ) on General Awareness and General Knowledge, English, Elementary Mathematics and Reasoning. The candidates will have to fill up the correct blank spaces against a question number on the machine readable OMR answer sheet.

C) Elementary Mathematics :- Full Marks-25
(Fractions and decimal; Mixture; Average; Square root; Percentage; Profit and Loss; Interest Simple and Compound ; Uniform Rate of Growth; Simple equations Solution of Linear Simultaneous Equation involving two unknowns and Quadratic Equation; Problems based on Ratio, Proportion and Variation Direct and Inverse, Basic theorems on triangles and circles; Perimeter and area of rectangle and circle; surface area and volume of (i) a right circular cylinder (ii) a right circular cone (iii) a sphere).
D) Reasoning:- Full Marks-15
The Reasoning Test will aim to evaluate the candidate’s ability of logical understanding,
comparison skills and ability to think and answer.
The questions may include problems on coding and decoding; alphabetical and arithmetical series, blood relation, test of direction, position of a thing in a queue, mirror images, arrangement of words in a dictionary, grouping of identical figures, analogy, problems of age calculation etc.
Interview:-Full Marks-10
Those who qualify in the written test, will be eligible for interview. In the interview, the general awareness of the candidate will be tested. The interview will be conducted by West Bengal Police Recruitment Board through Range Recruitment Boards. A merit list of the provisionally selected candidates will be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the Written Examination and interview by the West Bengal Police Recruitment Board.
Appointing Authority:-
(a) Additional Excise Commissioner/ Senior Joint Commissioner / Joint Commissioner/ Deputy Commissioner of Excise, Headquarters, in respect of the posts under the Directorate Headquarters;
(b) Additional Excise Commissioner/ Senior Joint Commissioner / Joint Commissioner/ Deputy Commissioner of Excise, Special, in respect of the posts under the Special Section at Excise Directorate;
(c) Additional Excise Commissioner/ Senior Joint Commissioner / Joint Commissioner/ Deputy Commissioner of Excise in charge of the Excise Division in respect of the posts in the concerned Excise Division and the districts under the Division.
Miscellaneous:
(a) The Excise Commissioner shall allot the selected candidates to the different organizations as per requirement / vacancy and order of preference of Division of the selected candidates.
(b) An Excise Constable or Lady Excise Constable shall be borne on the establishment where he or she is posted by the appointing authority. But his/ her seniority for the purpose of promotion to higher posts shall be determined as per his/her position in the date-wise gradation list of Excise Constable or Lady Excise Constable maintained by the Excise Commissioner, West Bengal.
(c) The Excise Commissioner, West Bengal, shall have the power to transfer an Excise Constable or Lady Excise Constable from one establishment to another. The officer under whose establishment the Excise Constable or Lady Excise Constable is so transferred shall be deemed to be the appointing authority or the later.
Verification Of Antecedents:-
All provisionally selected candidates will be required to fill up a Verification Roll which will be thoroughly enquired into by the concerned authority.
Medical Examination:-
The selected candidates will be called for a medical examination at the State Government designated Hospitals. The certificate of medical fitness will be issued by authorized Medical Officer.

NOTICE REGARDING EXAM . IN DISTRICT JUDGES COURT ,WESTBENGAL.

THE PRELIMS AND MAINS EXAM. OF ALL THE DISTRICT JUDGES COURT WILL BE HELD ON 16 TH JUNE,2013 SIMULTANEOUSLY.

Murshidabad  District Judge Recruitment Written Exam. Notice
The date of Written Examination etc. for Recruitment of all posts in different categories of the eligible candidates scheduled to  be  held  on  21st  July, 2013 (Sunday) stands postponed  owing to unavoidable reasons.
The date of such Examination has been re-scheduled on 18th day of August, 2013 (Sunday).
Admit Cards/Call Letters to the eligible candidate concerned have already been sent. Except the date of Examination, the venue and other matters will remain same.
Eligible candidates not receiving such Admit Cards/Call Letters may meet the Office of the District Judge, Murshidabad at Berhampore 7 (seven) days before the date of such Examination.

Notification for issuance of Admit Cards and duplicate admit cards  to  conduct  the written examination for recruitment of English Stenographer, English Typist —Copyist, [DC, and Process Server (Summon Bailiff) as per Notification No.1 dated 13.02.2013.

Scale of Pay :-  Rs 15,600 - 39,100  per month along with Grade Pay, Military Service Pay, Dearness Allowance, Kit Maintenance Allowance, Transport Allowance. In addition, other allowances are applicable based on nature of duty / place of posting and would include , Field Area Allowance, Special Compensatory (Hill area) Allowance, Special Force Allowance, Siachin Allowance, Island Special Duty Allowance, Hard Area Allowance and Remote Locality Allowance. On successful completion of Training, the newly Commissioned Flying Officers would be entitled to approximate gross monthly emoluments in Meteorology Branch, including Transport Allowance of major cities, of Rs 54,860/-.             
Age:- 20-25 Years as on 01 July 2014 i.e born in between 02 July 1989 to 01 July 1994. The  upper age limit is relaxed upto 27 Years (i.e born in between 02 July 1987 to 01 July   1994) for candidates who have completed Ph D after completing following educational qualificatios
Qualification:- Post Graduate Degree in any Science stream / Mathematics / Statistics /Geography / Computer Applications / Environmental Science Applied Physics / Oceanography / Meteorology Agricultural Meteorology / Ecology & Environment / Geophysics / Environmental Biology with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers put together (Provided Maths and Physics were studied at Graduation Level, with a minimum of 55% marks  in both).
Candidates appearing in final year/semester examinations may also apply provided they fulfil the following  conditions:-
Candidates should not have any present backlog and should have secured a minimum of 50% marks in Post  Graduation in aggregate in all papers put together upto the last semester / year for which results have been  declared at the time of applying / AFSB testing.
Candidates should be able to provide provisional / original degree certificate latest by 15 June 2014

Physical Standards
(i)  Height and Weight: Minimum height :- Men - 157.5 Cms withcorrelated weight .

One self addressed envelope (size - 23 X 10 cm) with Rs 27/- postage stamp.   Two unattested recent colour photographs similar to the one pasted on the application form.
No queries / correspondence will be entertained regarding late receipt / non receipt or incomplete/ non eligible / illegible applications.
Serving Air Warrior candidates would be required to apply as per the service format as given in AFO 39 / 2006 through service channel. Other government employees need to apply through proper channel and are to produce NOC at the time of AFSB testing.
Type Of Commission :                                                                                            
Permanent Commission : Candidates joining as Permanent Commission (PC) Officers would continue to serve till the age of superannuation.
Short  Service  Commission :The initial tenure for Short Service Commission Officers in Meteorology Branch would be for a period of ten years. An extension of four years may be granted subject to willingness, service requirements and availability of vacancies.
Selection Procedure  Candidates who are short-listed will be called for testing at one of the Air Force Selection Boards (AFSBs) at Dehradun, Mysore, Gandhinagar or Varanasi. The testing would consist of two stages as given below.
Stage-I Test consisting of Intelligence Test along with other tests will be conducted on the first day. Stage-I Test is a screening test and only those who qualify would undergo subsequent testing. Applicants who qualify Stage-I testing would be required to fill up a detailed application form. Thereafter, all candidates would be subjected to document check to ascertain their eligibility for the Meteorology Branch. Those candidates who either do not qualify in Stage-I testing or do not meet the required eligibility criteria would be sent back on the first day itself.
Stage-II Testing consisting of Psychological Test, Group Tests and Interview will be conducted on subsequent days (Four Days).

Medical Standards-
(i) The minimum distant Vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of both eyes without correction i.e. without wearing of glasses.
(ii) The candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and they should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
(iii) The selection board has the absolute discretion to reject or accept any candidate after considering the report of the medical board
(iv) The candidate with a small engraving// tattoo of name or religious symbol on the inner face of the arms or hand is permitted for enrolment. However, candidates having permanent tattoo on any other part of the body are not eligible for recruitment.

Method Of Selection :-
The candidates who are found eligible in all respect as per eligibility conditions prescribed for the post applied for will be called for recruitment test. The exact date and venue of recruitment test will be intimated to the eligible candidates through Admit Card. The candidates will have to undergo the following recruitment process / tests :-
(i) Checking of Documentation : In order to check authenticity of age and other important information viz, professional qualification, experience certificate (where ever required), caste certificate (where ever required), of eligible candidates, the board should accept original documents viz, original certificate of education issue from recognized boards/ university, caste certificate issued by the competent authority in the format given in the advertisement. The board will hold the competence to accept / reject a candidate if he/she does not produce satisfactory documents. Candidates rejected at documentation stage will not be allowed to proceed further in selection procedure.
(ii) Physical Standard Test : The candidate will under go initial physical screening test to conform to the prescribed physical standards of height, weight and chest measurement (chest measurement not applicable for female candidates) as mentioned in para 6 above. Candidates failing at physical standard stage will not be allowed to proceed further in selection procedure.
(iii) Physical Efficiency Test (Race) – Being technical posts no PET is required.
