West Bengal Public Service Commission’s Advertisement nos.: 3(3) / 2013 and 5(2) / 2013.
Sending of admit card to the eligible candidates will commence in due course. The scheme of the test is available in below.

District Inspector / Additional District Inspector of Schools under the School Education Deptt., Govt. of West Bengal in the West Bengal Educational Service.
Date of examination: The 24th December, 2013 (Tuesday).
Time of examination: 12:00 noon to 1:30 p.m.
Subject: Education, General Studies & Arithmetic.
Total no. of questions: 100 (Multiple-choice type).
Full marks: 100.

N.B.: There will be negative marking for each wrong answer.

Name of Post :- DISTRICT INSPECTOR/ADDITIONAL DISTRICT INSPECTOR OF SCHOOLS IN THE WEST BENGAL EDUCATIONAL SERVICE UNDER THE SCHOOL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT, GOVERNMENT OF WEST BENGAL
No. of  Vacancies :- THREE (ONE RESERVED FOR O.B.C. CATEGORY – ‘B’ CANDIDATES)
Scale of Pay :- Rs.15, 600/- – Rs.42, 000/- (P.B. 4A) plus Grade Pay Rs. 5, 400/-             
Qualification :- (i) Second class Master’s Degree of a recognized university in India or equivalent qualifications, (ii) Degree in teaching of an Indian university or equivalent qualifications, (iii) Three years’ experience of inspection work or in teaching in school, (iv) Ability to undertake touring, (v) Familiarity with modern outlook and method of school inspection, (vi) Capacity for planning and organization & (vii) Good power of expression in Bengali – spoken and written.
Age:- Not more than 35 years as on 01.01.2013, relaxable for otherwise well-qualified and experienced candidates and for persons holding substantive appointment under the Education Department, Government of West Bengal.
