Kolkata Municipal Corporation are invited applications for recruitment to
the post of Personal Assistant(P.A) [Gr.-I] & Steno Typist (Bengali), as per the details given below.
Name of Post:- Personal Assistant(P.A) [Gr.-I]

(Unreserved).
Scale of Pay: -Pay Band Rs.9,000 – 40,500/- + Grade Pay of Rs.5,400/-.
Qualification :-(i) A degree of a recognized University or its equivalent. (ii) Ability to take notes of speeches at a uniform speed of 100 words per minute in case of English Shorthand or 80 words per minute in case of Bengali Shorthand.(iii) Ability to type accurately from a manuscript at the rate of 40 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Bengali as the case may be.

Qualification :-(i) Madhyamik Examination Pass Certificate from the Board of Secondary Education, West Bengal or its equivalent. (ii) Must be able to take notes at a uniform speed of 75 words per minute in Bengali. (iii) Must be able to type accurately from a manuscript at the rate of 20 words per minute in Bengali.
Age for Both post :-Lower and upper age limits are 18 & 37 years (forgeneral) as on 1st January, 2013(Relaxation = SC/ST - 5 years; OBC- 3 years; PH- 10 years;)
Examination Fee
(Non-Refundable) :-An application fee of
Rs.150=00 (Rupees One Hundred
& Fifty) and processing charge of Rs.50/- (Rupees fifty) shall be collected through all branches of United Bank
of India and deposited to A/C No.0088050006323 vide challan specially designed and available at Commission’s
website www.mscwb.org. One part of the Challan meant for
Commission will have to be attached with the application form, failing which application will be rejected. No
application fee shall be paid by the
candidates belonging to S.C. category, however processing charge of Rs.50/- shall be collected from
applicant’s belonging to S.C. category and they will have to enclose self-attested
photocopies of the requisite S.C. certificate in support of their claim along with the application. Requirement before filling on-line
application form The candidate
must have an active email ID which must be valid for atleast six months as all
future communication with candidate will take place only through email.
The candidate should have the
relevant documents/certificates pertaining to age, qualification, caste,
experience if any, demand draft (if required) etc. ready before applying
on-line.

drop the same in the box kept at Commission’s Office at the Municipal Service Commission 149, A.J.C. Bose Road, Kolkata – 700 014(Opposite R. Ahmed Dental College & Hospital near Maula Ali) on any working day during office hours within the last date mentioned in the advertisement. During submission of application, self-attesed photocopies of the documents/certificates in support of age, caste, qualification and experience (if any) etc. whichever applicable, shall be submitted as supporting documents. Original certificates have to be produced whenever asked for.
Last date for submission of application : 07.10.2013 (up to 4.00 P.M.).
Applications if received after closing date will not be entertained.
Submission of Multiple Applications is strictly prohibited. A candidate can
submit only one application for each category. In case of submission of more than one
application in same category all the applications of the concerned candidate will be cancelled.
