Railway Protection Force (Central Railway, Mumbai) are invited applications from eligible male candidates for direct recruitment to the posts of Constable (Band). as per the details given below:
Name of Post :- Constable (Band)
No. of Posts :- 07 (SC-1, OBC-2, and UR-4)
Scale of Pay :- PB-1 Rs.5200-20200 Grade Pay Rs.2000/-
Qualification :- (i) Candidates should be Matriculation pass or equivalent examination conducted by a recognised Board; and
(ii) 2 years experience in operational use of specified musical instrument. Ex-servicemen holding certificate in military music shall be permitted.
Must be a citizen of India (Only male citizens are eligible)
Age:- Between 18 and 27 years (Relaxable for Government servants upto the age of 40 years in case of General candidates, upto 43 in case of OBC candidates and upto 45 years in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government from time to time.Must be a citizen of India (Only male citizens are eligible)
Physical Measurements:-
For UR/OBC candidates Height - 165 cms
Chest unexpanded – 80 cms Chest expanded – 85 cms
For SC/ST candidates Height - 160 cms
Chest unexpanded – 76.2 cms Chest expanded – 81.2 cms
Physical Efficiency Test
(PET):- The candidates will be
subjected to Physical Efficiency Test consisting of the following events and
will require clearing all these events. It will be qualifying in nature. There
will be no PET for Ex-servicemen.
Name of event - 400 meters race
Minimum qualifying standard
- 1 minute 20 seconds
Name of event - Shot Put (16 lbs)
Minimum qualifying standard
- 20 feet
Name of event - Long Jump
Minimum qualifying standard
- 12 feet Last date of receipt of the complete application is 15th July 2013
Examination
Fee (Non-Refundable) :- All candidates are required to
send application fee of Rs.50/- (Rupees fifty only) in the form of
crossed Indian Postal Order (IPO) or Bank Draft in favour of Financial
Advisor & Chief Accounts Officer (FA&CAO), Central Railway, Mumbai CST.
However, candidates belonging to SC/ST category and Ex-servicemen are exempted
from payment of application fee.
How to apply: & Eligible Candidates may Apply. Prescribed application form available on below link, taken from the Employment News or other relevant
newspapers. The application forms may be submitted on A 4 size bond paper using
one side only and sent to Chief Security Commissioner/RPF, Post Box No. 12 GPO,
Mumbai CST-400 001. (b) The applications should be filled in by the candidates
only in Hindi or English in their own handwriting with signature in normal
handwriting and left hand thump impression of candidates. Applications signed
in capital letters/spaced out letters will be treated as invalid. (c) Coloured
photograph (3.5 cms x 4.5 cms) should be pasted at the appropriate place with
clear front view of the face without cap and sun glasses.
Documents to be sent
along with the application:
i) Crossed Indian Postal Order/Bank Draft for Rs.50/- as
application fee (non-refundable)
ii) Self attested copy of SC/ST/OBC certificate on the
format prescribed for Central Government employment as per annexure.
iii) Self-attested copy of matriculation certificate as
proof of educational qualification and age
iv) Self-attested copy of experience certificate of working
in the Band and having played one of the instruments listed in the
advertisement
v) Self-attested copy of discharge certificate for
Ex-servicemen
vi) One extra coloured photograph (3.5 cms x 4.5 cms) with clear
front view of the face without cap and sun glasses, mentioning the name of the
candidate on the reverse side
vii) Two self addressed envelopes of 27.5 cms x 12.5 cms
