a) Applications in plain paper are invited for engagement of 2 (two) S.R.F.; 1 (one) Computer Specialist; 1 (one) Project Assistant & 2 (two) Project Attendants to work under the project entitled “The response of the hydrological system in India to climate change (INDICE)” an Indo-Norway research project sponsored by Norwegian Water Resources & Energy Directorate under Dr. Lalu Das, P.I. of the project & Associate Professor & Head, Deptt. of Ag. Met. & Physics, F/Ag. for a period 3 (three) years or the actual date of termination of the project whichever is earlier with a value of fellowship @ Rs.22,000/- p.m. (fixed) for SRF & Computer Specialist; @ Rs. 12,000/- p.m. fixed for Project Assistant and @ Rs. 10,000/- p.m. fixed for Project Attendants with the following qualifications: Sr. Res. Fellow: Master’s Degree in Ag. Meteorology/Meteorology/Atmospherics Science/ Environmental Science/ Physics/ Agricultural Physics/ Geography with Climatology or Meteorology as special paper securing at least 55% marks or above in aggregate OGPA 2.75 in 4.00 or OGPA 6.50 in 10.00 scale followed by a good bachelors degree with knowledge in meteorological data handling/ Computer programming in FORTRAN or C. Preference will be given to the B.Sc.(Ag.) Hons. Candidates. Computer Specialist: Master’s degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology/Computer Applications (MCA) with experience: i) Hands-on experience in Unix/Linux environment, or skill of programming/scripts in Grads/R/ IDL/MATLAB, ii) Handling knowledge of large volume of global meteorological/ station data or other related data; Project Assistant: B.Sc./ B.Com. with one year certificate / diploma in Computer application with five years work experience in project under University system and proven knowledge of accounting, budget preparation, cashbook and stock book handling etc.; Project Attendants: Higher Secondary (10+2) with basic knowledge in computer application with minimum six month certificate course.
b) Applications in plain paper are invited for engagement of 1 (one) Scout to work under the project entitled“National Initiative on Climate Resilient Agriculture (NICRA)” sponsored by ICAR under Dr. S.K.Ray, P.I. of the project & Officer-in-charge, AICRP on Sub-Tropical Fruits, Directorate of Research, BCKV, Kalyani, Nadia for a period 31.03.2013 or the actual date of termination of the project whichever is earlier with a value of fellowship @ Rs.8,000/- p.m. (fixed) with the following qualifications: Master degree in Fruit & Orchard Management or equivalent degree or Master degree in Horticulture securing at least 55% marks or above in aggregate OGPA 2.75 in 4.00 or OGPA 6.50 in 10.00 scale followed by a good bachelors degree in Agriculture/Horticulture.
Application in plain paper along with complete bio-data stating a) Name, b) Father’s name, c) Date of birth, d) Present & Permanent address, e) Academic qualifications, f) Research experiences (if any), g) Phone number (Mobile) and E-mail ID along with attested photocopies of mark-sheets and testimonials with a passpost size recent colour photograph (to be pasted on the top right side of the Bio-data) should reach to the address of the concerned Principal Investigator of the projects positively within 25.03.2013 for the project under Sl. no. (a); and 15 days for the project under Sl.no. (b) from the date of issuance of this NOTIFICATION.
