Application are invited from Indian nationals under any Port Authority in India, the
Central Government, a State Government or any local Authority, Statutory Undertakings etc. or any Government Companies as defined in Section 617 of the Companies Act, 1956 (1 of 1956) or Institutions receiving grants from Government through proper channel for filling up the post of Welfare Officer (Sports) in Kolkata Port Trust in the scale of pay of Rs.20, 600- 46,500/- by transfer/deputation. The candidates along with the requisite qualifications as mentioned below in the scale of pay of Rs.20, 600-46,500/- in Central Government, a State Government or any local Authority, Statutory Undertakings etc. are only eligible. The period of deputation shall not exceed 2 years and would be subject to usual terms and conditions.
Educational and other qualification:
i) Degree in any discipline. Relaxable in the case of an outstanding sportsman.
ii) Must have represented any State at National level in any major sports and games.
iii) Experience in organizing sports/ games at local level.
Pay & Allowance
In addition to pay in the above scale, the incumbent will be entitled to HRA, CCA,
Cafeteria allowance etc. and the total emolument at the beginning of the scale would be
Rs.50,000/- approximately per month. The incumbent will also be entitled to LTC, Leave
Encashment, Gratuity, Non-contributory P.F. and Medical coverage for him/her and
dependent family members. In case of deputation allowance, the same will admissible as per rules.
Mode of application
The application containing detailed bio-data including name, date of birth, permanent
address, address for communication, nationality, religion, details of educational and
professional qualifications, details of experience and post held (indicating name of the
employer) and pay scale, salary drawn and the present pay scale, whether SC/ST/OBC ,
extracurricular activities or any other relevant information with two recent passport size
photographs along with confidential report for the last five years of the officers, who can be spared in the event of the selection, should reach through proper channel in sealed envelope subscribing “Application for the post of Welfare Officer (Sports), Kolkata Port Trust” to the Secretary, Kolkata Port Trust, 15, Strand Road, Kolkata – 700 001 by 11th February, 2013. The authority forwarding the application is requested to verify that the application is in order Application without the certificate prescribed in the proforma by the forwarding authority will not be considered. Incomplete application or application received after 11th February, 2013 will not be entertained.
